The Yaeger CPA review course was not the first CPA review course I ever used. After using a different study course, I failed three out of four sections of the CPA exam. It was due to this event that I bought Yaeger's Home Study Course, which ended up helping me to succeed in all three sections with impressive results.

The Yaeger website states that students who have studied the Yaeger CPA review course have an average pass rate of 88% on the CPA exam. Dr. Dr. Yaeger and his experienced team offers something that none of their competitors are currently offering: an "Instructors Hotline" (an 800 number) that people can phone to ask questions about the key concepts or about the CPA exam in general. I found the lecture videos quite engaging and led by well qualified teachers. The tutor would first explain important procedures, and then take students through multiple choice questions and examples. An advantage with the Yaeger system is they placed emphasis on materials with a high probability of showing up on the exam. These cram DVDs are aimed at identifying the candidates weakest areas and adding strength to those areas just before the exam. I doubt it makes much difference which CPA review course you have, the Yaeger cram DVDs will assist with revision for any course and give lots of last-minute understanding.

All Yaeger CPA review course materials are are reviewed on a regular basis, including lecture videos which are recorded every year. It means the course is pretty much current and you can have confidence the material is still appropriate.
